WHERE IT BEGAN
Colin's culinary career kicked off at London’s Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in 1994, where he completed his apprenticeship under his idol, Raymond Blanc. After five years in London, he moved to Australia, working at some of Sydney’s most acclaimed restaurants, including Banc and The Four in Hand Hotel and Pub. It was while working at one of these restaurants that Colin met his wife, Jane, who hails from Northern Ireland.
Throughout his career, Colin has helmed several esteemed restaurants and is most proud of his time at the Four in Hand, where he achieved two hats, and at the hatted restaurant 4Fourteen. His culinary insights and experiences are encapsulated in his published books, "Four Kitchens" and "The Commonsense Cook."
Family remains at the heart of Colin's life and culinary inspiration, with his parents having been his biggest influences during his formative years.
When he’s not cooking or filming, Colin, a motorbike-riding, pinot noir-loving family man, maintains a strong connection to his community. He continues to support a number of charities, reflecting his commitment to giving back.
